prospecting with process

What’s the difference between prospecting with a process and prospecting without a process? Success.

I just joined a company that uses a well-defined, step-by-step process for generating new leads, I can attest to the fact that I’ve never experienced a higher rate of success.

In fact, if you can imagine, this lead generation process actually makes developing new business fun, because it turns a typically grueling exercise into a thoroughly productive use of my time.

This is one of the main reasons why I just left an organization where pounding out 60 cold-calls a day was the focus and not the resulting appointment or new opportunity.

This focus on activity, without developing an effective strategy and process, de-motivated the entire sales team and none of us were making our numbers.

Things are going great now and I can’t imagine ever going back to prospecting without a process. I’ll keep you posted on my progress and thanks for the opportunity to share my thoughts with your readers.
